MATERIAL HISTORY

​

Second Semester | Fourth Year

 

This unit taught a hybrid of structural engineering and material science. Two exhibition outcomes were a model (with accompanying research) of a significant structural innovation project and a booklet compilation of the coursework outcomes. The structure I chose to represent was Konrad Wachsmann's Hangar for the Atlas Aircraft Corporation (pictured left) and I wrote on the concepts of inertia theories for the booklet.
